Terms and Conditions for GTi Students
The Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd (The Guild) is the UK trade body for therapists and salons and is the largest and most widely recognised accrediting body for private training in the UK. Guild Training International (GTi) is the training arm of the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, and provides high quality training courses that can be offered by Training Centres that meet the required standards. There are over 550 accredited GTi Training Centres in the UK and worldwide which provide students with world class training and qualifications.
Recognition and Insurance
Guild Training International (GTi) Courses and courses that are advertised as Guild Accredited have been accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, the UK trade body for beauty therapists and salons. These courses have been written to and assessed against UK National Occupational Standards (NOS) and are recognised in the UK and internationally. GTi and Guild Accredited courses are acceptable to Guild membership and insurance and accepted by all major UK insurance providers.
Guild Membership
You must be a member of the Beauty Guild to access any of the GTi courses. If you are not currently a member, you will be registered as a GTi Student member for 3 months when you enrol on a practical GTi course. If you have not completed the course within 3 months, you will be required to either renew your GTi Student membership for another 3 months, or upgrade to an annual Guild membership with or without insurance. Students who enrol on practical courses must also complete the Professional Standards for Therapists course before they can commence any of the practical courses.
Certification
Certification for GTi courses is managed and strictly controlled by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd. On successful completion of a GTi course, students are be issued with an electronic version (.pdf) of their certificate which displays the student’s name, course title, Training Centre and date of completion. Students have the option to purchase printed certificates through the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd.
Copyright & Intellectual Property Rights
All GTi courses and training information are subject to strict copyright in the UK and internationally. This includes, but is not limited to, online training modules, course manuals, module details, course syllabuses, video clips, certificates, downloads and all Guild Training International and Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd logos and images. No information may be reproduced in any form or any means whether electronic, mechanical and/or optical without the express prior written permission.
Your Contract with GTi
GTi provide the online theory element of GTi training courses. Students who enrol on GTi courses enter into a contract with GTi who provide the student with an online account where they can access their purchased GTi training course. GTi also provide online help support to students for the duration of the online course. Students who complete the GTi courses will be provided with electronic certificates through their online portal. Student who wish to purchase a hard copy of their GTi certificate can do so on completion of their courses.
Students who enrol on courses which require practical training sessions arrange this directly with a Guild accredited training school. The practical session constitutes a separate contract between the student and the training centre which is independent of GTi. The terms and conditions of booking practical training are as specified by each participating accredited training centre.
Cancellations and Refund Policy
Guild Training International operates a clear and fair refund policy for students enrolled on GTi courses. The Guild Training International cancellation and refund policy only applies to the enrolment on and the delivery of the online GTi modules. Students who enrol on practical training session with accredited training centres are subject to the cancellation and refund policies of the individual training centre. Where a student has enrolled on a GTi course they can cancel the booking up to 14 days after enrolment providing they have not commenced the course. Once the first course module has been completed, no refund of GTi fees is applicable.

The Guild strives to provide a world class standard of customer service. Any complaints regarding the content and delivery of the online GTi courses should be addressed to gti@beautyguild.com. All complaints will be investigated thoroughly.
